Parilla Lynx Engine Servicing

The Parilla Lynx 100cc racing engine has already been proven to be an ultra reliable package with service intervals extending to 20hrs. It has been seen however that the long term life of the engine can be significantly extended by carrying out an interim service at 10hrs.

For guidance we would expect an interim and full service to be approx 6 months apart, depending on how much practice you do. An average race weekend, race Sunday practice Saturday will put approx 75mins on an engine

Interim Service at 10hrs

Engine Strip and re-assembly

Your engine will be partially stripped down and meticulously cleaned in a sonic parts cleaning bath, returning them to as new presentation, the assembly process will leave nothing to chance through thorough inspection and carefull attention to detail including crank re-true if necessary £35+vat

Precision Hone

It is likely that at 10hrs we will recommend at light precision hone combined with a new piston, ring and small end cage £18+vat

Interim service parts

Including Piston inc ring, small end cage, high quality SKF/FAG bearings, gaskets £74+vat

Typical 10hr interim service total cost

Labour £53+ Parts £74 = £127+vat

Full Service Engine Rebuild 20hrs

Engine Strip and re-assembly

Your engine and carb will be stripped down to component parts and meticulously cleaned in a sonic parts cleaning bath, returning them to as new presentation, the assembly process will leave nothing to chance through thorough inspection and carefull attention to detail. £50+vat

Precision Hone

It is likely that at 20hrs we will recommend at light precision hone combined with a new piston, ring and small end cage £18+vat

Bottom End

At the full service the crank will be split down and the crank pin and big end cage replaced, the crank will be re-assembled and trued. £18+vat

Full service rebuild parts

Including - Piston inc ring, Small end cage, Gudgeon pin, High Quality SKF/FAG main bearings, crank pin, Thrust washers, Big end cage, Gaskets and Engine sprocket £126+vat

Typical 20hr Full service rebuild cost

Labour £86+ Parts £126 = £212+vat

Other Services

Tilotson carb service

If you are unsure or wary of rebuilding the carb yourself, we can do it for you at very reasonable cost. It may be sensible to carry a spare carb so you can rotate £10+vat

Carb diaphragm and gasket set £3.50+vat

Carb inlet needle and diaphragm set £6.50+vat

Precision Bore and Hone

If the engines liner has sustained damage which render it unable to be honed, we will precision bore and hone to finish in readiness for a replacement piston. £35+vat

True Crank

If you wish us to true your crank for you we can do so. This presumes you have presented the crank already removed from the engine £10+vat
